Bromsen have, yet again, gathered a fantastic electro-rock power for this latest release, ‘Someone’. The duo have a way of effortlessly reviving 80s synthwave and connecting its energy and exciting momentums with modern indie rock. It is blindingly colorful and fulfillingly evocative like the work of The Strokes, Duran Duran, and Tangerine Dream. The track springs to life with laser basslines, dispersing synth patterns, and strident vocals. A straightforward beat line punches into these buoyant accents, bolstering them with exponential ions of energy and light. Listen Now!
‘Someone’ also perfectly exemplifies the Bromsen’s proclivity for symmetry; using its visual attributes to enhance the thematic emotion. These well-dimensioned progressions culminate in Santana-esque blues guitar solos, before being revolutionized by experimental spells of electro rock prisms : Refracted, twisted, and warped by sequential sonic distortions. And from the tail end of this frame, the second chorus springs out, like a rug pulled out from under it.
Bromsen is Richard and Karlo Bromsen. Based in Berlin, Germany, it was formed in 2020 to explore a new world of sonic ideas and concepts. The artists are both musical veterans with over 20 years of music creation and production under their belt. Bromsen is signed with the label Epictronic and are about to release their debut album “Brothers in Mind” on 16 Feb 2024.
The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
