Moving Van has a funky frolicking sound. The outfit had a distinct tropical allure with undertones of latin rock, folk, and psychedelia. It is a divergent brand of indie music that is nurtured with vintage filters. In their latest release, ‘Ouroboros’, Moving Van set out a chunky and vibrant number that is resplendent with luminous melodies, eclectic beats, and bluesy vocals. It is dimensionalized by mild middle eastern pallets. They pair beautifully with the Latin blues guitar work and the dance of jazz keys. But at the center of it is the eccentric euphony of the vocals. In their warping symmetry, they are the hub that gives everything else context.
Moving Van was founded in 2019 in San Ramon, California, and consists of Miranda Shakes on vocals, Josh Clouse on guitar, Ian Carlton on keys, Lars Aquinonez on bass, and Liam McKay on drums. They debuted in 2022 with ‘Cul-De-Sac’ which is a mellow rock n roll flow. It is timeless and free as they glide in and out of retro and contemporary frames. In 2023, they put out ‘Popcorn’, a dynamic blues rock fixture that is now followed by the sunny tunes of Ouroboros. Listen Now!
