Rosie Byron is a vocalist and lyricist who released her first single “Chillin” in 2021. She is a mother of six children, a primary school teacher and a strong believer in keeping one’s heart happy by following your desires! Her songwriting for her debut track revolved around Covid-19 and after a mini hiatus, she has been consistently putting out fresh music in the new year. Her latest release, also the third release of the year for the artist is the simple track “Love Is The Key” that emphasizes the importance of love in our lives.

The track starts off with ethereal keys, airy sound effects and modern vocals. The production on the single is fairly simple although this simplicity does not take away its sense of groove. The percussion is strong, heavy and acts as the backbone of the track while the subtle yet effective bass holds the single together. The production, flashy keys and the overall poppiness of the track is reminiscent of 80s Disco music in an extremely nostalgic fashion. The vocal performance by Rosie Byron is endearing!

The songwriting is wholesome and starts off from the point of view of someone who has not known love. This sense of curiosity to discover what it is and gratitude for being shown this grace is reflected in the track all throughout. I found the idea of bliss choosing you very intriguing and enjoyed how the penmanship paints being misunderstood in opposition to love. The core message “Love is The Key” to one’s heart despite the complexity and how standing together is an important facet of love stands tall at the end of it all!
