Jacques Bailhé is a composer and multi-instrumentalist. His love to explore sonic forms and melodic quotients leads him down paths of experiment and adventure to discover fluidity like no one else. He brings everything he is to his music, the places he has gone to, the experiences he has had and the stories he became a part of. In his latest release, Désirs De La Basque, Jacques Bailhé seeps into the quietness of living. He delves into the unspoken words, unfelt emotions, and incomplete stories to shape the melancholy of desire. He sets out a romantic mood, dazing with soft resonance and small melodies.
The instrumental is an ambient dance. A plucked string here, a played key there, it ebbs and flows. In a way, the design is perhaps meant to conceptualize the theme itself. A lamentous guitar solo unravels through the middle. It is flavored with Latin blues in a way that is reminiscent of Carlos Santana. The track has quickly become one of my favorite compositions, with its sentimental blues and dramatic reticence. Listen Now!
The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
