Just One Fix is your newest addiction, as they so proclaim. There’s no reason to go by words, we live in a world of deceit. Not when there’s a band like this somewhere in the evening’s bill though. Then you have a made night, and a Costco’s offer coupon for Bengay. This is their latest thrash single, Gods & Devils.
So just like me, you have missed Slayer being disbanded. Just One Fix buries that sorrow within the first 3 seconds. They bring that brutal thrash energy with catchy riffs and a handy cam to the dark side. It is an interesting evolution, especially to see genres collide so aesthetically. After you’re treated to the riff for the intro, the marching break comes, with what I can only call a magnetic riff. The verse section is an obliterating grenade launch, creating some pockets of headbanging haven. It is a link to the classic thrash that has been a staple of a lot of our childhoods, delivering annihilation in a .mp3 format. We are forever grateful for indie bands like this taking up the mantle, and heating it to another core.
Just One Fix already have 3 full length albums if you’re in the mood to have your personal Wacken at home. Let Them Hate… and Blood Horizon are some class collections, so get to them before consumerism washes out your soul. This is thrash metal to be enjoyed in good company, listen to the single here:
