Comett is an alternative pop music project founded in 2005 by the multi-instrumentalist artist, Alexandre Canale Parola. He loves to demonstrate the changing contours of pop, especially when blended with unseeming or unprecedented counterparts. His music has that nice lofi/ contemporary elements of 90s and 00s indie rock, dream pop, and even alt folk. His latest release is ‘The Dance’. It is a slow-brewed indie folk pop track in which you’ll catch pleasant references to artists like The Byrdes, and The Beatles. You’ll see some Sufjan Stevens, James Taylor, and Nick Drake as well. That balance of newness with a touch of the classic is the line where his genius forms.

The track is a slow-dancing, mellow indie pop track. Alternative influences show up in the form of glassy synths, blues, misty watercolor romance, and an endless loop of sentiment. The track opens like a John Mayer track. With gentle lines of guitar melodies and gradually progresses into a divergent instrumental web. So wonderfully elating and creatively designed. And he seems to know how to open up the flavors of the instrumentals with his honey-tinted vocals, heartfelt inflections, and an amplifying sound structure. He really infuses the phrase, ‘less is more’ with great meaning.

The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
