The Parlophonics are an alt-rock and pop band. Their sound emphasizes on the old school charm with their smooth melodic rock and soft pop frames; all drenched in the blue mist of nostalgia. The band dives into the forming bonds between people and poetically dilates the beauty and humanity contained within. Dying of the Light is the band’s latest release. This collection of eight tracks weave together a magnanimous emotion that is bound to beguile the listener.

Reading Kerouac is a melancholic pop-rock track taken from this album, featuring the vocal talent of singer-songwriter, Marcella Detroit. Its dancing acoustic riffs, uplifting beats, and sympathetic trumpets make for an enjoyable listening experience. Listeners of The Beach Boys, The Beatles, and the like are sure to enjoy the direct simplicity and soulfulness of this band.

The Parlophonics are Robert Horvath, Fernando Perdomo and Hugh Macdonald. The three piece band was formed during the pandemic and has since released two albums – “A Day in the Life” (2021) and “Dying of the Light” (2023).

The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
