Bearbonez is a full on retro guy. As a songwriter and producer, he revisits the 20th century ethos, advancing it with progressive ideas and alternative ethos. The result is an ambivalent sonic production that has a little bit of everything. Rock, blues, electronica, funk, psychedelics, and experimentals. There is also a great reliance and exploration on infallible concepts, which he uses as foundations to cultivate explorative structures. Listening to his music is a great way to indulge your mind with song, especially when you’re feeling creative and innovative.
His latest release is ‘Don’t Look Back’, a Donnie Darko type track edged with unexpected sparks of vibrance. The rhythms and textures are designed to warp the sense of space. Like Dali’s ‘The Persistence of Memory’ painting, everything seems to be melting and mingling, irreversible but at the same time absurdly logically. It takes the mind back to soundscapes of The Cocteau Twins, REM, and Talking Heads if they were mingled with Pink Floydian blooms. It connects the 70s with the 90s in a way that becomes timeless, and therein conceptually achieve the theme. Listen Now!
The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
