Raise your lighters to Blackfox’s latest brilliant alt-rock opus, ‘Beaming’.

Atalanta rock veterans Blackfox are back with their latest album release, ‘Blackfox4’, an eclectic collection of tracks fusing alt-rock, punk, pop & prog. Theirs is a sound that is gritty, memorable, and downright awesome.

‘Beaming’ shines with its terrific guitar work, crashing drums, raw, evocative vocals, grungy arrangements, and beautiful balance. We open, without a moment’s waste, onto dark, reflective riffs and urgent drums. The lead vocals, high-pitched and weary, have an interesting back-and-forth with the riffs, each line a cryptic message. The track gathers tempo and momentum, blossoming into an expansive section, and backing vocals join the accelerated, energetic arrangements.

Blackfox then plays a wild card and takes us through a hypnotically brilliant riff section. Swirling, surrounding vocals all singing the track’s title ‘Beaming’ seem to suck listeners into their sonic whirlpool.

The lyrics are an exciting take on first love encounters. A play-by-play of those magical moments, where indecision and doubt are also present, but somehow the shining light of love within is quite enough to see them through to find each other completely. We especially love the metaphorical representation of the lovers as one being the ‘light,’ and he’s ‘beaming’ it right back at her. It simplifies what it really means to be in love and just how simple it can all be if we just let it.

We absolutely love the energy and intensity this talented alt-rock group brings to ‘Beaming’. They exude a supreme confidence and incredible sync within the group. The cohesion and structure is reflective of their journey and time spent playing with each other. We are eager to check out the rest of their tracks from the latest album, ‘Blackfox4’!
