Buko Shane is an alternative Americana-influenced band that forge their own brand of instrumentals. Their latest single is ‘Another Sunday Morning’, an acoustic speckle that glimmers and fades into moments of existentialism. Listening to it is to experience a mirage of music. It reveals a unique artistic expression that is evasive and fleeting. You can’t quite hold it in your head. Swirling with abstract and complex contemplations, it doesn’t flow but flashes ever so softly through the soundscape. The band’s sophisticated craft shines in this contrast of using minimalistic sonics to carry such a weighted and vivid concept.

It captures the feeling of existential melancholy and heartache through frames of unfulfilled mundanity and an eroding sense of self. You can perhaps cast this and imagine it forming in the melodic arrangements as well. Maybe even identify with its ennui and inaction. The plucked guitar melodies sway and inflect with ethereal material almost. And this connection of basic human experience with otherworldly harmony is such a beautiful thing to reckon with.

Buko Shane consists of Heikki Hänninen – vocals & guitar

Ville Tolvanen – electric organ

Philip Holm – bass, mandolin & tailor’s fiddle

Joonas Anttila – drums & percussion

The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
