Christophe Lorient is a Belgian artist, musician, and singer-songwriter. His soundscapes are mellow exchanges of emotion and experiences. That, like a conversation, flows through moments of ebb and flow. His vocals have so much candor, and hold so much of the protagonist’s state of mind. In his latest release, ‘Petit Éncran De Couleur’, ‘Or Small Color Screen’, is a new age pop rock song that is feel-good, light, and just musically descriptive. He creates not only a song, but an ambience around the theme. And every element plays into this, his vocals, the spreading instrumentals.

Stylistically, the singer-songwriter infuses alt folk and neoclassical frames with moments of melodic rock and slow rising pop. We even see mellow anthemic moments in the chorus. And in the later verses, he explores funk beats and grooves. The variance is so seamless and loops into the rest of the style so naturally. It becomes a storytelling dimension that is both novel and effective. Listen Now!
