Govey/Matthew is a classic rock/ rock duo. They compose music like a cinema. Frame to frame, they develop and build a story, a feeling, and grandeur. All you have to do is give into the conduit of their instrumentals, rise with it into a space that is paradisiacal, almost divine. Layers and labrinths, weave through them, gain the emotion and leave all your thoughts behind. Their sophomore single, ‘Justice XXIII’ follows their debut release ‘Justice’ (2022). It is the epitome of rock craft at its finest, at its most passionate. The compulsion, the passion of it and the spirit of it is like an awakening.

Tackling a theme as complex and pristine as justice needs an elegant hand and a sophisticated design. And they deliver it and more. Cast in melancholy, a dark shape like a shadow starts to take shape and grows, accumulates and then fills you up. Setting the scene, the narrative in the introductory verses, most of the second half is an instrumental articulation. The guitar work is phenomenal, fraying and fringed with the softest blues and lamentous harmonies. You remember artists like Carlos Santana, AC/DC blues rock, and the like. Let it carry you away and push you into a crescending corner.

The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
