Jacques Bailhé is a multi-instrumentalist and composer with a theatrical flair. His tracks are presented as ensembles, each melody performing a scene or an emotion that unites with the larger production. Inspired by the music culture in the eastern hemisphere, he learnt the sitar and harmonium, transmuting their oriental pallets to his dramatic oceans of western instrumentation like drums, guitar, keyboard. In his latest track, Farewell My Love, Jacques Bailhé showcases his mastery in the classical piano, taking us on a journey of courtship, romance, love, companionship, devotion, juxtaposing these emotions with grief, loss, and pain.

The track opens with shy melodies gleaming like stars on a romantic night. They flow with a nostalgic softness that evokes fond memories in the listener. Truncated lines soon follow, conveying an intense sentiment with forte styled notes and  a shadowing bass. The underlying passion gradually blossoms into an intricate framework of staccato and legato – his version of storytelling inflections. With a playtime of a little over nine minutes, the artist weaves through the romantic era on the wings of rubato, wallows in solemn pools of grave before leaping into enthusiastic energicos. Using a mercurial rhythm design, he relays the essence of a tumultuous love affair.

The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
