Kache Monet is a rapper and music artist whose sense of creativity is evident from his name. He has been releasing music since 2009, garnering wide listenership. After a long hiatus he has come to release music consistently in 2024, building up an extensive discography of singles. His latest release “Racks” features fellow rapper and artist Tony Tig.
“Racks” is beat-heavy right from the get-go and its hard-hitting 808 dominates the single all throughout. The bass runs subtly in the background, keeping the track alive while two different yet equally urgent samples flow and intertwine with each other to create the perfect place to land Kache Monet’s vocals. With only three sonic elements, the track is able to focus all its energy on the rappers’ performances and songwriting.
The songwriting is very well thought out, pays attention to detail and makes great use of devices like repetition to convey the lyrical themes of monetary affluence. It has great and consistent rhyme schemes throughout and uses synonyms to convey visual phenomena like “Dominoes” and “Pringles”.
Kache Monet has a deep and captivating voice that is layered aptly in order to enhance his performance. He has an interesting cadence to his flow and switches the pacing up frequently such that the listener doesn’t get bored. The raspy and crispy vocal performance by Tony Tig is a refreshing variation. Both rappers use their voice to deliver staccato cadences rather than flows which makes the track all the more rhythmic!
