Keith Anthony is a Gozitan songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. Building upon years of producing and performing in and around the Malta region, Keith brings a uniquely contemporary, genre-fusing character to his music.
His latest, ‘Applaud’ is a sultry, slow-burning, whimsical ballad on the absurdity of modern times. It opens onto sparse strings and clicks and Keith’s unique tenor. He makes witty, cryptic observations on modern art, film and music culture. A patient verse swells and builds into a groovy cabaret-esque chorus.
In a time where short-sighted attention and feeble appreciations take center stage over pure talent, hard work and skill, Keith’s words couldn’t be more on point. His theatrical, suave vocal delivery and Contrasting piano tones and deep atmospherics create a heady, sweltering vibe.
‘Applaud’ boats of lush, rich sound design and production. Recorded, mixed and mastered at Keith’s very own Noise studios, it speaks volumes to his vision, creativity and attention to detail.
