L3o’s latest soft, tender, alt-pop, R&B track asks yearningly, ‘Would you’
L3o is a collaborative project between two producers and songwriters based in New York and Miami. Blending late-night club energy with intimate, vocal-driven storytelling, the duo builds songs that live at the intersection of underground electronic and pop.
The track breezes softly like an autumn breeze; gentle guitar strums and evocative vocals lead us into the opening verse. A shimmering voice confesses his troubled state of mind, coping with guilt and sorrow, searching for meaning. ‘Would you’ is a track that speaks beautifully to those complex emotions that surround love, regret and moving on from the person you thought you’d love forever.
The duet vocals make this feel inclusive, sung honestly and with just the right amount of soul and vulnerability. The lyrics, simple and relatable, talk to the listeners directly.
Musically, ‘Would you’ excels because of its grace, lightness and simplicity. Even though the emotional tone is complex, the light blues and jazzy feel make this a lovely composition you’d want to listen to on repeat. It speaks volumes to the creator’s varied musical experiences and ability to bring it all together so neatly.
This is a track you’d want to unwind to, to drive down empty streets to, to spontaneously burst into dance to. Yes, the weight of love lost hangs heavy between the lines, but the silver lining is hard to miss too. We’re loving the future-forward, contemporary musicality of L3o on glorious display here and would love to listen to more of them! Would you?
