LTB is producer and vocalist from Annapolis, Maryland who primarily works within the genres of pop and R&B with hints of Jazz. He has a vibrato to look out for and is self-admittedly inspired by icons in the field such as Steve Lacy and Hozier. Currently based in Nashville as a student, LTB has been releasing his own music for the past year. His 6th and latest single “Lay With Me” is a smooth R&B track filled with old school vibes!

“Lay With Me” starts off with beautiful elongated synths that take up all the ambience along with the very nostalgic sounds of cracking radio waves. The bass line, saxophone and the very light hi-hat dominated percussion are groovy and bring in flavours of Jazz to the track. While the production uses many different elements, it keeps the instrumentation simple and chill. LTB has a unique voice to which he brings the feeling of yearning while keeping it sultry and adding whispers. I really enjoyed the way the track plays with tension at the beginning before the vocals kick in!

The songwriting is an invitation to take it easy, “settle down and lay with me”. This confession to someone special is the antithesis to the hustle culture and fast paced living that is the norm of the day. The second verse dives deeper into describing the loved on as an unsolvable mystery further bringing out the subtly erotic elements of the penmanship!
