And they couldn’t have picked a better track to remagine for their first release than Animotion’s cult 80s pop track “Obsession”. The original was loud, full of pulsing pop-rock energy and craziness. Lücid Lovers harness that energy of the original and channelize it well to create a heavier, full-bodied cover version that would make Animotion damn proud!

Believe it or not, this wasn’t a carefully planned project. This came to the High Priestess as a cosmic download, and that’s when the obsession began. The Hierophant has been engineering, mixing, and mastering music for decades. High Priestess is a free spirit who wants to heal the world and wake people up! So, they put their energies together to create something special and waited for the right moment to release it into the ether. That time is NOW!

Their creation “Obsession” blazes with energy and creativity. Every element was intentionally performed, engineered, and produced by the duo.  Using a Synth Lab, Modern MIDI sequencing, and great production, they’ve crafted a track that does full justice to the original while also showcasing their musicality. In a fantastic twist, they gender-swapped the vocals here to amplify the energy of the divine feminine and turn the tables on the male-ego-driven narratives.
