Tune into Magumbo’s electrifying debut track, a rocking reimagination of ‘Say Yes To Heaven’.

The original, a fairly subdued, emotional ballad by Lana Del Ray, forms the basis for this, but that’s given a entirely new, retro-powered, makeover with Magumbo’s captivating sound. Sure, the same vulnerable, emotional core is preserved, we feel that right from the opening notes.

The same evocoative, slightly arpeggio as the original draws you in, but this time its joined with astral, sparkly effects and Magumbo’s stirring vocals. Josh Gallagher, the force behind Magumbo, sings in the vein of 80s retro rock vocalists, angsty, intense and awesome.

His commanding opening vocal salvo blooms into a groovy rhythmic arrangement. This cover radiates energy and passion, a fantastic mix between rock and club vibes. The lyrics express a sincere, unconditional type of love, one that breeds longing and devotion. The track’s title is a not so subtle implication to submit to this love, to join in heavenly union.

Magumbo’s Led Zepplin’s esque performance here is what’s really captivating to behold. As is the guitar solo unleashed, just at 2:10 mark. ‘Say Yes To Heaven’ is beautifully produced, a joy to listen to loud, no doubt. The guitar solo return in force, more intense and beckoning you hypnotically.

The track ends in a fiery outro, with him repeating ‘Ive got my eye on you’ and leaving with a wailing guitar hold. If you’ve missed the rock intensity of Bands like AC/DC Guns & Roses, Def Leppard and others, this track is going to make your day!
