Right from its opening, building atmospherics crescendo like crashing waves into pulsating beats and nostalgia-inducing guitar melodies. ‘Into The Sea’ evokes a glorious stirring catharsis, a sense of escaping the mundane and diving back into adventurous, restorative oceanic realms.
MatAre’s soft, introspective vocals confess, ever so passionately, of his go-to sanctuary of peace. Simple, yet evocative opening lines like, ‘Everywhere I go & everyone I know, leads me right back into, leads me right back into you….’, blissfully romanticize our long-since-realized innate connection to being by the oceanside.
For MatAre, his time spent at the beach is where he finds peace and sanity. In his own words,
“I spend almost every evening at the beach, and it fills my life with relaxation, exercise, quiet solitude when the world seems anxious and busy. It also brings a constant place that is always there no matter what is going on.”
Musically, the track flows at a mesmerizing tempo, one that engulfs you in a warm, nostalgic embrace. Co-produced with avant-garde Turkish producer Surfgreenvibes, MatAre delivers a beautifully melodious and captivating sound, fusing goth, dark/new wave influences.
