Melo RoZe is songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia who primarily makes music that can be classified within the genre of RnB. As an artist, she self-admittedly stands for authenticity and vulnerability and attempts to lift-up her audience’s sense of self confidence.  She has been releasing music since 2020 and has 5 singles and an EP under her belt. Her 6th single “Young Forever” is a boppy, upbeat track that will make any listener move to the dance floor.

“Young Forever” has a very contemporary sonic palette, reflecting the sound of modern times. Instrumentally, that track keeps it sharp with heavy beats and hypnotising synths that have enough reverb to fill up a room. The simple instrumentation is captivating, boppy and upbeat! The back-up vocals are well done and add a lot to the texture of the single.

Melo Roze gives a very sultry vocal performance that embodies femininity. Her voice is powerful, addictive and filled with sex-appeal. She manages catch a listener’s attention even when she is humming and not using words. I really enjoyed the way she switches it up to spoken word during the chorus; this range serves as proof of her versatility.

The songwriting revels in the impermanence of being young. As a classic party song, it demands you to get up and dance. The verbalisation of the line “Take your cup and put it to them moon” is interestingly written and filled with femme energy.

Melo Roze has is in a similar league as younger artists like Tyla and Amaarae. “Young Forever”, with only two verses is a short pop-disco track that makes a listener wish it was longer. Check out the track here:
