Mist29’s latest rap, ‘Murder Captial’ spares no details to make it known about California’s deadliest places to be!

Mark Juarez, aka Mist29 is back with his debut album ‘The Reclaim’ and ‘Murder Captial’ is the second track off that. Having served in the United States Marine Corps and several combat tours, Mist is no stranger to violence, and rather than rap about violence in itself, he directs his attention to addressing how dangerous living in Bakersfield.

‘Murder Capital’ opens with dark, melancholy tones, setting the scene for a grim news report telling us just how bad it is to live in Bakersfield, calling it the ‘Murder Capital’ of California. Mist29 brings in his no-nonsense rap flow, taking us through a life in the day in the ‘Murder Capital’. He minces no words in describing just how important it is to him to keep himself armed and protected in these warzone-like streets.

The track also features his longtime collaborator Yung Mav, whose contribution complements Mist’s flow so well. This is a track that aims to bring to attention the harsh realities of living in the Murder Capital where gunshots are going several times a dayy, in the hope of inspiring a much-needed change. Of course, it also makes some compelling gangster rap.

With this latest release, Mist makes his mark on the rap game. His use of hypnotic rap grooves, paired with compelling lyrics, makes him an artist to watch. Check out ‘Murder Captial’ and the rest of his latest album ‘The Reclaim’ on Spotify here:
