Strap for a stirring, unbridled metalcore heartbreak anthem from Oceans on Orion, ‘No Romeo’.

The Modern Metal group from Tel Aviv delivers an evocotive blend of pop, rock, punk, emo, and metal. With thunderous riffs, soaring harmonies, hard-hitting lyrics, and powerful vocals. A recipe for a stormy, sonically brilliant, cathartic listening experience.

‘No Romeo’ opens theatrically, with angsty guitar melodies and lamenting vocals expressing what a crushing heartbreak feels like, as aptly described by this track’ title and cover image. Erasing the memories of all those moments shared, lived experiences with someone we used to love so much is one of the most painful feelings, and yet, it feels like the only way to move forward.

Etched in blood and tears, you can feel the emotional depth and intensity building up as the track progresses. As vocals vehemently express how they going to get over this, we explode into a fiery, hard rock chorus with the hook line, ‘I’m no Romeo, you’re no Juliet’, inviting you to shout it back in acknowledgement.

Oceans on Orion hit that sweet spot of tapping into intense emotions while rocking out hard, which made bands like Linkin Park a household name in helping us get over difficult, crushing emotions. What we love about ‘No Romeo’ is how balanced it is. From verse to chorus, musically its always technically tight and proficiently composed; sharp, rock riffs sections transition with ease into stormy buildup sections.

Towards its crescendo, the group turns the intensity up to 11, emphasizing that core emotion, ‘No Future, Just sorrow’ leaving us to contemplate that as they fade to silence.

“No Romeo’ is a track that speaks volumes to this group’s ability to channelize raw, painful emotions into bold, evocative rock. We love what we’ve heard from these fearless rockers and look forward to diving into Oceans on Orion.
