Ollie Twohill strikes again with his brand of sentimental rock in his new release, Washed Away. The Australian singer-songwriter and indie-rock artist brings his heart to his music. Following in the emotional direction of his previous release, Hollow, the track has the makings of a devastatingly melancholic masterpiece.

Washed Away was inspired by my first hand experience of the devastating February/March floods in the Northern Rivers which have continued throughout the country being the wettest recorded year on record.

The track opens with ruminative acoustics before taking on a sensational molten rock trajectory. He loads the vocal narrative with the reality of the tragedy. The torrential rain of the riffs and explosive beats deepen the emotional journey of the track. Listening to it, we are left with images of a destitute people, burning houses, and drowned dreams swirling in our minds.

The artist writes, sings, and plays the acoustic and electric guitar on all his songs. The thumping rhythm section is designed by the amazingly talented Hamilton brothers, Blair and Lawson under the guidance of the Producer/Mix Engineer Dylan J Smith. Washed Away is the first of the two follow up releases that Ollie has lined up for this year!

The track is available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
