Ripsime’s pop-rock ballad, ‘Dare’ is wickedly good!

The London-based multi-dimensional artist, Ripsime is at the peak of her powers, as she delivers a scintillating pop rock track, ‘Dare’, performed & co-written with The Psalms in Los Angeles. It reminds me of No Doubt’s “Hella Good”, its got that irresistible pop-rock groove and sultry, seductive melodic charm built upon a strong rhythmic foundation and evocative vocals.

We open onto a smoky bass tone, angling guitar strums and a thumping beat that lead into Ripsime’s opening lines. Her vocals, raw and raspy, captivate immediately. The lyrics describe the chaotic unraveling of a toxic love story. Simple minor strums add another dimension of rhythm and tone, taking us into the magnetic chorus.

‘Don’t you dare say you love me, then leave without a goodbye, then say that il be fine…..’

It’s raw and resounding and urges you to sing along, resonating deeply with the feeling of fiery betrayal & pain. Ripsime sings with an irresistible confidence and panache, and the supporting musical arrangements from The Psalms make this a track that is so catchy. listen a couple of times, and you’l be humming that chorus line all day!

Around halfway, the track turns whimsically with Ripsime launches into a sublime vocal section. Seductive, playful, confident, & yet oh so vulnerable, all in the right measures. Its endearing, emotional and entertaining pop rock music at its finest!

With a bunch of upcoming releases slated, Ripsime is riding an awesome wave right now, and we’re so glad to be around to savor her electrifying sound.
