Chicago-based blues rockers Rosetta West are back with another psychedelic, high-energy rock opus! Titled ‘Dora Lee, this fiery, captivating track will turn your world upside down.

Taken from the forthcoming EP “Gravity Sessions”, the band recorded this at the legendary Gravity Studios in Chicago. Rosetta West is known far and wide for their experimental fusion of blues, rock, jazz, and psychedelia. The energy is so palpable and electrifying here that it feels as if Jack Black played with Deep Purple.

Opening with rough, jagged riffs that root you right away in Dora Lee’s world. The drums follow with a ferociousness that shakes the room. Its setting the scene for an epic, time-transcending tale to unfold. And it does. We are treated to Vocalist Joseph Demagore’s commanding voice as we settle down to his charming style of storytelling.

Its a story of a mortal man who was once briefly visited by a radiant goddess. He fell head over heels in love with her, of course. Over lifetimes, he still remembers that time with her and feels her echoes throughout his travels as a soldier. This whole narrative is portrayed brilliantly by their performance. Their ability to take blues rock music and combine that with mystical, shamanic sounds elevates their impact on the listener. It’s like you’re hypnotized in awe and wonder, witnessing a true force of nature.

The accompanying music video is just as gripping and explosive. It features a crazed soldier and his connection to divine goddesses of ages past, like Ishtar, Hecate, Kali, and more. And how that all leads to more chaos and war.

Rosetta West are masters of their craft of spinning compelling, magnetic, mystical music and stories. Dora Lee (Gravity) is a shining example of that. It’s loud, unpredictable, will,d and infectiously rocking.
