Strap in for a psychedelic cinematic trip hop rap power statement from the eclectic Sdubsthereptillian, “PATIENT”!

Sdubsthereptillian a Daytona Beach hip-hop artist with cosmic vision, heavy metaphors, and reptilian energy. He’s put in the years, almost 30 of them, dedicated to his music, driven with a singular focus, and evolving smartly. This latest is part confident declaration, part honest self-expression armed with a wickedly original rap flow and groove.

“PATIENT” opens in astral fashion. Oscillating atmospherics and smoky, nonchalant vocals welcome you into the reptillian’s world. Launching into his signature vocal timbre and energy, he lays down a brilliantly immersive, storied flow. He recalls what its took to get him to where he is now. While also paying his ups to the ones who’ve made it big, just cos they were brave and patient enough to trust the process.

There’s some sublime attention to detail and honest grit expressed through his sound. It never comes across as pretentious or overconfident. Instead, he exudes a thoroughly likeable, relatable manner all throughout ‘PATIENT.’

Catchy vocal hooks and incredible songwriting are the true highlights of this song. It speaks volumes to the value of being a ‘Patient’ person. Never in a passive way, but as one who has the long game in clear mind and is able to walk the road not often taken, confidently and fearlessly.

We especially enjoyed the witty lyrical references to a ‘holy grail,’ as is even reflected in the track’s artwork. Sdubs’s music hits that oh-so-sweet spot, old school rap meets futuristic electronica, trippy, entertaining and wholly relatable.
