Kurt Seßler and Werner Zeeb are a Germany-based musical duo with a passion for the retro styles like jazz, funk, blues, and smooth rock. Together, the two of them have set up a lucrative sound business under the banner Seßler / Zeeb. Kurt Seßler is the singer-songwriter and Werner Zebb is the multi-instrumentalist and producer. The duo has just released their sophomore single, Wenn in which they further solidify the Seßler / Zeeb sound.

The duo describes their sound as “catchy melodies, varied harmonies, pulsating rhythms and German lyrics strung together pleasingly.” But I’m here to assure you that it is much much more than that! Composed with charismatic creativity and performed and produced with matchless intuition and theatrical flair, listening to them is irrepressibly rewarding.

In this track, Wenn, the duo tackles the endless possibilities that are suggested by the word Wenn (If). The track opens with slow beats, angled basslines and pumping trumpets. Led by gunning riffs and feel-good vocals, it attains cruising speed before spreading into the purple flair of the trumpets. Each rhythm and sonic revision is a reset button that births new and eclectic formations. While one serenades us with a stunning trumpet solo, the other bolsters us with a rock overload. So come brave the charming wilderness of Seßler / Zeeb!
