No words necessary. Settle in for a sublime classical instrumental piece by Sharon Ruchman, ‘Another Time’!

Sharon & the eclectic ensemble, SONORO, are redefining classical music for the modern era. ‘Another Time’ features stirring piano and string arrangements, paired in a beautiful duet. Performed in honor of her late Uncle Rudy, Rudolf Fuchs, a legendary, virtuoso violinist in his own right. This track even features Rudy’s very own viola.

“He was considered one of the great violinists of his generation,” Sharon Ruchman says.

But his life was tragically cut short when he took a plane tour above the Chicago World’s Fair in 1933.

Another Time’ is Performed by Sharon Ruchman on piano and Jill Pellett Levine on Rudy’s viola. Now talking about the track itself, it opens with soft, delicate piano melodies. The first minute is a beautiful introduction, evoking a range of complex emotions.
Enter the piercing, stirring viola. The emotional depth and space created here is something special. Listening to this truly transports you into a romantic, timeless, trance-like state, serenaded by the symphonic rapport between the musicians here, Sharon and Jill.
The emotional tone throughout the track is fascinatingly complex and moving. A sonic opera. We move fluidly from one of nostalgia, tinged with sadness and sorrow to playful and romantic, intensely dramatic. Before you know it, the track concludes with a polite grace.
The production, from Marc Wager Weisgal, delivers a crystal-quality sound that makes you feel like you’re really in the room.
‘Another Time’ is a one-of-a-kind composition, reflecting the legacy of the past era of elegant, evocative classical music lineage with an honest, modern lens. Quite magnificent, really.
