soFIA Lainovic has a sharp edge when it comes to her music. The artist’s craft is distinctively hers, moody, bluesy, rocky, and dark as it shapes into an alternative sphere. This trick especially manifests in her latest track, ‘Twisted Reality’; a composition that redefines blues rock with a femme accent. Laced with melancholy, grunge, and disillusion, Sofia’s smoky vocals challenge the listener as it dissolves into the soundscape. Deliberately designed to be suggestive and full of insinuations, her vocals seem to travel quite a distance, through several frames and stories. Imagine a blend of Amy Winehouse, Fleetwood Mac, and Tove Lo. That’s what this track sounds like. 

The artist explores the voices of insecurity that lives in our heads, showcasing how it alters reality as we know it. She crafts chaos into the track just as subtly and indirectly as our thoughts do; creating an enigmatically dark and glistening alt rock atmosphere. 

The track comes straight out of a Black Mirror episode. Gloomy bass grooves pose as a dystopian backdrop to Sofia’s smoky blues vocals. It develops into an edgy guitar sequence that inspires her to further liberate her voice and evocation.
