In 2025, if there ever was a sublime, groovy, danceable song to learn the alphabet to, it would have to be Stephano Meneghetti—Zombification – Pina Vanucci Remix.
Taken from Stephano’s album ‘D-ictionaire’, it’s a relentless, pulsating, and incredibly fun electro/techno dance opus! You might not learn the alphabet completely, as you would probably be lost in a trance, grooving to this.
At just over two minutes, it starts rapidly with an exciting, pulsing melody and thumping eurotrance beats. Then, we get the voice of French RJ/DJ Monsieur Lune narrating the alphabet in a monotonous tone while the beat behind his voice pulses and grooves with excitement. The addition of flat, unsettling piano notes adds to the craziness of the soundscape. At the letter G’, the voice morphs into that of Swiss artist Naomi Pacifique, who continues down the alphabet in a sultry, confident tone of voice. This exchange between Lune and Pacifique continues, while their voices take on a weird, wonderful, robotic, distorted tone, blurring the lines of reality.
A standout aspect of this production is minimal confident flow. Stephano clearly has his pulse tuned to what the people love to dance to. He allows for that free-flowing, ecstatic energy to be present throughout the track with smartly inserted refrains and transitions that add drama and flair to the composition. The efficient use of space and time here is to be admired. It brings to mind the work of masters of the Eurotrance genre, like Daft Punk. This feels like a track that’s destined to be an instant hit in the dance/club circuits and may even make its presence felt in its use in online content pieces.
A thoroughly entertaining listen.
