Stoney Forde works with music across a spectrum, stringing acoustics, folk and Americana into deeper, more layered frames of soul, funk, and blues rock. Encompassing all these fluid elements is a modern productional style, casting unique perspectives and novelty on the whole affair. There are experimental facets but also explorative and innovative flows. He seems to indulge all his whimsies, all his absurdist ideas, and even romanticism. His latest release is ‘Dog and Pony (The Anarchy)’, a track that changes the known/ conventional destinies of Americana, floating under veils of mellow anarchy. 

The track opens with melodic electric guitar notes. Its somber tone is reinforced by the husky baritones of Stoney. Dark undertones shine through. Banjo riffs and harmonica motifs are floated into some frames, highlighting the contrasts between the Americana and the glaze of the rest of the soundscape.
