The Agency… mesmerizes with their return to the scene with a cinematic new wave track, ‘We Fell to the Floor’

The track’s ethereal synth-laden atmospherics, stirring baritone vocals harmonies and swelling new wave textures sweep you up in its bittersweet, elegant atmosphere.

Rosa Thomas and Elise Shields, of British trio The Samphires feature on backing vocals, and for a special reason. Profits from this track will go towards supporting Rosa’s recovery from a hemorrhagic stroke caused by a ruptured congenital malformation. Every Bandcamp sale goes to Rosa’s fund!

This track, in essence, is about looking out for each other. What was originally conceived by members of The Agency… as a love ballad now emerges as a collaborative call to action. For inspiring hope and garnering support from and for our loved ones and friends to get us through the tough times.

Now to the track itself, ‘We Fell to the Floor’ opens onto lush eerie atmospherics and stirring vocals, ‘Baby, stop trying to read my mind, these thoughts ain’t right for you, maybe its all paranoid delusion….’

It indicates a fragile, vulnerable state of mind, of being stuck in analysis paralysis when the time comes to making a decision to help a fellow human in need. But no more!

The chorus beautifully transitions to uplifting, and hopeful. A soul-stirring tone of resilience and determination. Of unconditional love and support, ‘No matter what they say or do, I’l stick with you, I’ll see you all again’

The sweeping synth rock arrangements adequately reflect the track’s intense emotional core. We love how The Agency… is able to balance atmosphere and emotional weight with such class and panache. In the concluding sections, the introduction of folk arrangements paired with a scathing electric guitar solo makes this feel more and more thrilling, an adventurous fight for life.

“We Fell to the Floor” is a ‘love song to the local musical community,’ as expressed by the group themselves!
