The Venus Figurines is an alternative rock band from Hobart/Tasmania. With a vigor of a dying star, their guitar intensive and bass-driven sound takes on legendary proportions. They were formed in 2015 with a vision to discover the most potent alt-rock spaces. And with each release, they come out with more distilled versions of the genre, distilling the sound through filters of classic rock, heavy metal, prog-rock, shoegaze, and in their formative years, pop punk. In this latest release, Holiday, The Venus Figurines turn it up with dark heights of freedom and exhilaration.

The track opens with a gunning momentum. Led by the tense basslines, and hardcore riffs, it pierces through the tearing vocal fabric with a propagative fervor. We get many extended solo plays with just the intense vibrations of the beat addled riffs and basslines to keep us company.

The Venus Figurines comprises Jaidyn Daniels on vocals and guitar, Brad Holzberger on drums and percussion, Cameron Quinn on guitar and backing vocal, and Angus Wilks on the bass. Daniel is the primary lyricist and songwriter, snowballing his personal and real time experiences to form layered wells of sonic.

The track is available for streaming on popular platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
