Lock your doors and bolt them tight. ‘Trashy Annie—Some Strange’ is a feisty, loud, unapologetically raw grunge rock opus that will knock your socks off!

This ain’t your atypical love song. Far from it. It’s a primal, hard-hitting confession of lusty desires and lofty swagger. Still, it’s got plenty of grit, soul, and character underneath that streaked makeup. ‘Some Strange’ is Annie’s second thundering, edgy track release from their upcoming album ‘Let it Kill You’.

Texan frontwoman Annie Davis teams up with prolific drummer Thommy Price( who’s drummed for Joan Jett & Billy Idol) and an immensely talented set of instrumentalists to create an old school rock n roll sound that reverbs through the speakers like an unstoppable force of nature. Like the best rock tracks, it starts retrospectively before launching into crunching, menacingly rapid, spiralling guitar riffs layered with crashing drums, setting a high-energy stage for what’s to come.

Annie’s vocals are dripping in brazenness and defiance, owning her vulnerabilities with every piercing word. Her vocals feel like the perfect embodiment of that badass female biker, living rough, living dangerously, wild and free. She immerses the listeners into her world of late-night bars, motels, and one-night stands, all for that craving for ‘some strange.

The chorus is catchy, anthemic, and a loud, unapologetic, cathartic expression of her darkest desires – “Maybe I need a change / Maybe I need some strange”.

Production-wise, ‘Trashy Annie – Some Strange’ hits hard and true. The sound feels like something meant to be played alarmingly loud, holding its own in all aspects.

This isn’t a track for the faint of heart. It’s for the wickedly wild and unapologetically forward, who go after who and want what they want and get some strange!
