Tr!x delivers a moody, hypnotic ballad on vulnerability and growth with ‘Frostwarning’!

The fresh, emerging, multi-dimensional artist Tr!x delivers a dense, heavy, electro-pop sound like the journey of a hazy dream sequence. It opens with dark, ominous piano chords, hushed vocals and a slow-burning bass beat. Disorienting, layered vocal murmurs flow along to the deeply emotional keys, driven by emotion and restraint. Those keys form the melodic foundation of the track all throughout.

‘Frostwarning’ shines cos of its raw honesty and purposeful sound. It strays from over-the-top effects and production and instead chooses emotion-laden grooves. The tuned vocals and heavy atmospherics distort any sense of reality, yet it feels firmly grounded in its delivery.

Past the two-minute mark, we hear Tr!x vocals emerging from the hollow with low pearls of wisdom, ‘They say money don’t buy happiness, but give me a million and I’l feel fucking best….’. The Malone-esque low drawl and nonchalant tone have you hanging on his every word.

We’re intrigued by Tr!x refreshingly original, lo-fi brand of electro-pop and look forward to hearing more from his ever-growing discography of works soon!
