The Old River Knows is the latest collaboration between Warwick Hadfield and Sam See. The alt-country and folk-Americana project revives the vintage country style with nostalgic lyrics, melancholic vocals, and luminous acoustics. Warwick is an Australian songwriter and together with acclaimed fellow-Australian musician, Sam See, he revisits the pockets of his mind, reminiscing and bringing to life old memories. The track also features the talents of Lindsay Field and Glyn Mason, two of Australian music’s finest.

Under the guidance and patronage of Sam See, Warwick is able to emulate the rustic charm of the iconic 70s country themes. The glinting acoustics swept up by streaming folk tangents form a picturesque backdrop for the passionate baritones. If you close your eyes, you can almost picture the rolling fields, the rising mountains and the old river.

Warwick and Sam’s partnership has now developed to writing songs together, a boost for Warwick because Sam See has written two of the classics of Australian rock and pop music, Somerville, and Reasons, the latter from the biggest selling album in the country’s history – Whispering Jack.

The track is available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
