Wind of Sighs is a winding, guitar-led ballad inspired by the Socratic dialogue on beauty, fusing it with themes of love tinged with loneliness. It’s a song that takes its time, building up its theme, personifying and attempting to take the debate to a concrete space.

Beauty, here personified, finds herself above the clouds, while your narrator seems to wax poetic about her. The lines also seem to extend beneath the layers, beneath what can only be seen, somewhere in the in-between.

Wind of Sighs finds itself floating light, between deep moments of loneliness and sunny, bright skies.  “….She wonders when there is a mist, will she be missed?…”. There’s a lightness to the melodies, lightness that seems to lilt over what feels like a shroud of loneliness, while volleying to keep the melodies alive.

Beauty is that which inspires, but is also tinged with loneliness and longing. Wind of Sighs’ sees these moments between the lines and tries to come to a logical, moving conclusion while personifying a concept and viscerally inhabiting it.

The song feels like a seamless convergence of philosophy and sound, allowing debates to feel even more engaging while the lines pull on the concept and make it more personable.
