Jacques Bailhé is a composer and multi-instrumentalist. He is known for his unique fusions of oriental and western classical styles. They show off his experimental artistry and vibrant mind. Having traveled across the world, he has picked up cultural artifacts, eastern mysticism, Hinduism, and the like. He infuses these styles into western streams to extract new sonic formations and ideas. Jacques Bailhé’s album, Shiva in Flagrante (released 2022) presents a mantric atmosphere, as he orchestrates spiritual melodies alongside electronica, drum and trombones to show the divine nature of the theme. The album tells the tale of a Harley – Davidson riding Shiva falling in love with the goddess Parvati and the birth of their child in the final track titled “The Facts of Creation.” It is hypnotic in the post profound way, whisking the listener to a world of divinity and mythology.

The song opens with ominous drum beats, lined by an oozing deep bass. Listening to the tabla beats underlying mysterious melodies and echoing synths, it feels like you’re walking through the archaic ruins of a temple. The drum and trombone arc files into the soundscape with energy and action. It forms the thick of the track, as the suspense built now phases into climactic revelations. Real world sound samples like the sound of airplanes and helicopters drift through, showcasing a sense of urgency that is fitting of the destructive nature of the theme.

The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
