Monroe Moon is an alt rock and pop duo by Bunny Monroe and Theo Malkin. In their latest track, Navigator, Monroe Moon explores astro themes with equal amounts of mystery and mystique. Nocturnally influenced, it is incredibly magnetic and even hypnotic. They slowly nurture a grunge setup, gritty and glowing before breaking it up with plush synths and crescending vocal flows. It presents like a self-sufficient machination, one that powers and boosts its own capacity for astounding highs and lows. Listen Now!
The duo’s work is reminiscent of the roguish creative glee of bands like Linkin Park, Nickelback, Paramore, and Thirty Seconds to Mars. Navigator opens with gnawing and sizzling riffs. They are played and progress as if in an one elastic unit, slowly dilated and pulled at the seams. Its tears reveal a colorful synth soundscape underneath, rippling with candescence and frolic. Bunny’s outworldy vocals belong to neither side, just an ephemeral swish that unites the juxtaposed sonic personalities.
Theo Malkin and Bunny Monroe each have distinct styles and sound allusions on the face of it. But it is mesmerizing to discover and experience their intuitive artistic connections first hand. They debuted in 2018 with their EP, ‘When the Seagulls Follow the Trawler’ and have since developed an impressionable discography with nine singles and another EP.
The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
