plantoid is a four-piece indie rock band with a penchant for experimentation. Their compositions are genre-fluid as they explore psychedelic spheres of music. In their latest single, Dog’s Life, Plantoid infuses a hard rock base with theatrical electronica and soft glass vocals. Going into it, the listener is instantly intrigued by the air of mystery that is set up by haunting sonic pallets. Opening with powerful riffs, their stridency is progressively enhanced by basses and beats. And within these dynamic edges, the enchanting vocal line fathoms a new sonic dimension.

It is impressive how the band builds context and normalizes the strange constructs of the track. Despite the fundamental contradictions in the two primary facets ~ vocals and instrumentation, there’s an intuitive interaction between them as one leads us towards the ethereal and the other paves the desolate path to it. And just when you have grown accustomed to this world, the band transforms it with futuristic and sci-fi-themed electronic effects. The riffs get absorbed into these electrical frequencies, blurred with their properties and cerebral quotients.

The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
