Rabauw is a Dutch alt rock band with absolutely no limits. In fact they love to intentionally play with and blur boundaries. With rugged riffs and rake lyrics, they create the perfect atmosphere of grunge and hard rock accentuated with classic and alternative fringes. The band was founded by Jascha Soest in pursuance of his love for rock and his desire to combine it with his own language. ‘Onkruid’ marks the introduction of Rabauw’s sound, their debut, and a great one at that.

The guitar leads the aesthetic with stunning riff flares and melody lines. And especially with the gigantic bass lines lifting into them, the listener is obliterated, in the best way, by texture and resonance. Jascha’s vocals are charismatic and confident as they roll into the guitar licks and riff barrages. The way he is able to temper emotions, energy, and sentiment to match the instrumentals sparks awe in the listener. The sludge of riffs, bass lines, and vocals is incredibly consuming and immersing. Driving into it, its walls of energy, riff power and momentum is definitely a highlight of the listening experience. It’s like a tod current that is irrevocable and matchless. Listen Now!

Rabauw is Jascha Soest on vocals, Paul Hobbelink on bass, Boris Piscaer on drums, and Micha Sprenger on guitar.
