Roger Ricks has just released his brand new single, Lost! All the proceeds of the song will be donated to Chance-for-children.org, a non-profit organization whose focus is to reintegrate children off the streets back into their families or search out alternative options when reunification is not possible.
The solo multi-instrumentalist has been drawn to music as a means of making sense of the world and himself ever since he could hold a guitar in his hand. The release of this new track marks the 15th single released by the artist from his debut release, Turn Down in 2009. With Aerosmith, Eric Clapton, and Guns n Roses as his primary influences, the artist rides the sonic rock waves with riffs styled to have a vintage allure.
The track is a vivacious beast. With ricocheting sonic tongues, meaty basslines, and glimmering riffs, the song courses with a towering intensity. Slamming drums and molten snakes of guitar melodies rev up the smoky vocals. The artist showcases a euphonic tug-of-war, a beautiful representation of his message to equalize the lure of success with the strength of principles. When the alluring tugs of the vocals and guitar melodies gain power, he drives up the drums and basslines to drown it out.
The song is the result of the joint effort of Roger Ricks and fellow artist, Emma Pierre. Even though the original plan was to feature Pierre, unfortunate circumstances prevented it. While the drums were outsourced to a studio session musician, Ricks does all the rest, vocals, guitar, bass and keys!
Available on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music!
