Shakals is a five piece indie rock band from Southern Finland. Their music has an outwordly presence, one that aligns the listener to abstract spaces and strange sensibilities. It is timeless; retro features phased seamlessly into inventive electronic structures. Think Daft Punk and Tame Impala. The storytelling is all cerebral, swirling with enchanting subtexts and dialogue.

‘Moonshot’ is Shakals’ latest single, a track about feeling like an outlier. The melancholy is refreshed with renewed moments of mystique. Using deliberately alien sonic concepts and structures, they build the soundscape like a myth. Fuzzy riffs are banded with roaming bass lines and colorful synths. The vocals are a spanning emotional gradient, one that rises with soulful passion and falls with disillusion and resignation.

The track has an immense ambit. Best way to enjoy this psychedelic sea is to suspend yourself in it, sway with the vocal emotion, taste the loneliness and euphoria all at once. It proves the incredible ability of the band to elevate the reality of the human experience. If you feel like you don’t belong, or if you’re just generally lost and aimless, Shakals’ soundscape is a great place to feel inspired and perhaps even connected. Listen Now!

The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
