The Slim Loris sound is a genial blend of indie-rock and pop with rich accents of Americana and blues. Formed in 2009, the Swedish band has a rich catalog of music that is inspired by Scandinavian ethos and melancholy. Their brand new nine-track album, Red Loris Yellow Loris features their popular singles Sticky Toffee Pudding and 17 Again.
The band establishes an instant connection with its audience with this opening track. The bare honesty in the vocals are beautifully complemented by the molten syrup of indie guitar. And the garlands of reprising vocal harmonies in the chorus make for a most affecting listening experience. Ascending drums and metallic jingles lead us to a stream of guitar solos that light the passageways of the mind.
With Mattias Cederstam on vocals and bass, Robert Barrefelt on the guitar, Jonas Ellenberg on drums, and Leon Lindstörm on vocals and guitar, the four-piece band juxtapose genres to arouse new flavors of rock and Americana; leading them to receive glowing tributes from the likes of Huffington Post and Axs. And after a brief hiatus, the album is back, stronger than ever with greater sonic affluence.
The track is available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
