Sweet Arrow is a rock duo that walk the line between classic and alternative rock quite well. Xavier and Nathan formed the banner in 2015 with an aim to explore rock in ways the fulfill them both, in ways that remind them of the artists that inspired them and their music. They have since figured out a formula that works for them, which they progress and tweak with every release. Their latest is ‘Taking My Girl’.
The track sports driving riffs and a rising rhythm that rouses you out of a slumber. You’ll catch moments of 70s rock, merging the chaotic alt rock that the 90s are known for. The crunch of garage rock rolling into moody, blues-tinted grunge riffs makes for a delicious combination. Pooling into the vocal lines, the instrumentals gain new dimensions. The vocalist’s ability to absorb the atmospheric textures and craft an emphatic narrative is quite remarkable. It is edgy, unique, and original. And with a will to perform that far supersedes the expectation, you’ll have a great time listening to this track.
The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
