Ubiquity Machine is an indie/ alt duo from Washington DC. Their style aims to resurrect the past in pieces, assembling diverse influences to form a cohesive sound. In a way, the duo tackles modern themes using sonic spreads from across the late 20th and early 21st century. With a distinct dreariness, wry poetry, and subdued tonalities, they lull the mind into a wakeful slumber. In their latest release, Beautiful Girl, Ubiquity Machine appropriates melancholy, carrying it with monotonal blues and gloomy rock. Listeners of Tame Impala, Metronomy, Hozier, and Empire of the Sun are sure to enjoy the dazed atmosphere of this track.
