Waverly Drive is the solo indie project of Los Angeles-based artist, Phil Galloni. With an inclination to indie rock, blues, and alt-rock, he presents his modern rock palettes with the gritty authenticity of Chicago (where he was born) and the dreamy elements of La La Land (where he is based). There‘s a freshness to his music, as edgy meets innovation and emotion. In his latest track, The New Age, Waverly Drive uses bursts of electric sonics and high tempo to showcase the excitement and anticipation of the theme.
The track blends vibrant synths with smooth riffs to build a hyperactive sound stage. This is coupled with dance beats and floating falsettos to create a flashy 60s reminiscent retro atmosphere. The artist has a way of puncturing reality with threads of surrealism. His track, Darlin is one of the best modern indie rock tracks that reinforce the appeal of the genre.
He debuted in 2022, releasing four tracks back to back and has several releases lined up for this year. Mastered by John Greenham (Billie Eilish, Angele), the sophisticated union of the artists’ vision leaves us wanting for nothing.
The track is available for streaming on popular websites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
