Honeyvolt is the solo project of singer-songwriter and an indie rock artist, Alan James Ponce. He brings a sense of intimacy and warmth to his soundscapes the way The Smiths or the Beatles did. However, it is underlined with an electric pulse and a rowdy groove that ties back to classic rock and rock n roll styles. His latest release is ‘Sky on Fire’, a track featuring storytelling, grand rock power, and a guitar progression that you can’t get enough of. It is raw, vulnerable, heartfelt, but also a flush of texture, emotion, rhythm, and sensations.

Unifying the feeling of being human with the emotion of rock. That’s the baseline for Honeyvolt. The guitar work is playful and fun, snowballing into a coarse intensity and experimental flow. Alan’s baritones, seemingly one dimensional, actually scale across alongside the depths and peaks of the swirling instrumental ocean. The beats are what speculate the rock n roll interference in the soundscape. Played free and effortlessly, slapping down on the effusing basslines and wandering guitar to create impact, rhythm, and character.

Like this, each element holds a duality that plays into the core properties of other elements. A design that holds together, balanced in contrast and complex co-relations. Listen Now!

The track is available for streaming on popular sites like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
