Mystik Fool is the alias and music project of Galen Deery, a multi-instrumentalist songwriter from the foothills of the Appalachian mountains in Pennsylvania. Swinging through the branches of rock, folk, pop, and even reggae, his music has an absorbing spirituality. Mystik Fool conceptualizes freedom and happiness with an exhilarating sound design in his single, Gone With The Wind.
The track makes up the a-side of the namesake double single with the track, Vibration, on the b-side. With a burgeoning soundscape, it splits beautifully into rivers of melodic rock, uplifting pop, and breezy country; bridged by gossamer threads of synths. Intense and layered detailing allows the artist to exact a range of emotions relating to the song’s theme. And true to his moniker and style, Galen creates a mystical world informed by the human condition.
Opening with ethereal synths and acoustics, we sail on the soothing baritone boat to a world of bursting pop. A rock-styled percussion structures the frame. The streaming basslines drive the vocals to dreamy peaks before being consumed by an entrancing guitar showcase. Filing into this climactic boom are delicious pieces of previous sonic frames that are made nostalgic by endearing vocal motifs.
The track is available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music!
